DUT Application Tips

  • Lower APS entry than universities: If your APS is 16–24, DUT offers excellent qualification pathways not available at degree-only institutions.
  • Engineering at DUT is competitive despite lower APS: The 22 APS minimum does not mean places are easy to get — apply on time.
  • Portfolio programmes need extra preparation: Graphic Design and Fashion Design require a portfolio. Start preparing yours early.
  • Diploma → BTech pathway: A DUT diploma can lead to a BTech and then a master's degree — it is a full academic pathway, not just a dead-end qualification.
